New Daily Study Bible
Edited by Linda Foster, The New Daily Study Bible series keeps the cadences of Barclay’s inimitable style. His distinctive voice, which has spoken to so many in past years, will continue to help new generations ‘to know better their Bible, their God and their Saviour’. All 17 volumes have recently been re-published: The Gospels, Acts, Paul's Letters, Letters, Revelation. Barclay's language has been sensitively updated, and out-of-date references have been removed. Readers familar with his work will find it enhanced throughout with explanations of contexts, sources for quotations and other details. • He is incredibly important – he doesn’t duck any of
the big issues. He wades into them and diffuses theological issues that
the church goes to war over. • One has to admire his singular ability to enable complex theological
argument to become accessible to all. • The only Bible commentaries that I’ve used consistently
are those written by William Barclay. They are absolutely fantastic and
I wouldn’t give up my set for anything.
